Quality Technician
Total Talent Solutions is now hiring for a Quality Technician in Houston, TX. Pay rate is $30.00 per hour for the 1st shift. As a Quality Technician, you'll ensure every piece coming off the line meets top standards. Your attention to detail keeps production running smooth and customers coming back.
What it takes to keep quality tight:
High school diploma or GED required
5+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and dimensional inspection
Hands-on experience with CMM and precision inspection equipment
Familiarity with SAP (NCR module) or similar ERP systems
Understanding of ASTM/ASME material standards preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Team-oriented with the ability to work independently

A day on the line:
Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Conduct advanced inspections using CMM, portable arm, and 3D scanning equipment
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection test plans (ITPs)
Execute non-destructive testing (NDT) and document results per quality standards
Identify nonconforming parts and generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in SAP
Maintain inspection records, material certifications (MTRs), and documentation flow
Verify packaging and compliance for critical components (including valves
uclear parts)
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and third-party inspectors
Support internal testing, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
