
Electrical Drafter

This long-term contract position is with a leading company in Sugar Land, TX.
The Electrical Drafter will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics for electrical systems using CAD software, translating engineers' concepts into blueprints for installation and repair.
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed wiring diagrams, circuit layouts, and schematics for electrical systems, power distribution, and electronic assemblies.
Utilize Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) systems (like AutoCAD) to create and store electronic drawings.
Work with engineers and project managers to develop designs and incorporate specifications.
Assemble complete drawing sets, including connection specifications and installation guides, for construction teams.
Work under the guidance of senior staff to create electrical drawings that support communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.
Follow required procedures to meet quality standards and comply with regulatory and internal codes.
Perform data collection and analysis. Additionally, perform basic data entry.
Qualifications
Experience with AutoCAD.
SolidWorks is a plus, but not required.
