Job Description REMOTE Mid-Level Litigation Associate Remote Mid-Level Litigation AssociatePosition Overview We are seeking a remote Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join a dynamic litigation team handling complex civil matters. The ideal candidate will manage casework from discovery through trial preparation, draft pleadings and motions, coordinate with clients and co-counsel, and contribute to strategic case development. This role requires strong litigation experience, excellent legal writing and advocacy skills, and the ability to work independently in a distributed environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a mixed caseload of civil litigation matters from intake through resolution, including pre-trial preparation and trial supportDraft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other litigation documentsConduct legal research and prepare memoranda and strategy recommendations for partners and clientsTake and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and assist with trial exhibits and witness listsCoordinate and supervise discovery, including e-discovery workflows, document review teams, and vendor relationshipsAdvise clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and procedural matters while maintaining strong client communications remotelyCollaborate with partners, associates, and paralegals across time zones using remote work tools (video conferencing, matter management software, and secure document platforms)Assist with mentoring junior associates and delegating work to support staff as appropriateMaintain accurate timekeeping, billing records, and matter status updates in firm systemsQualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active admission to at least one U.S. state bar; ability to obtain admission in additional jurisdictions a plus4+ years of civil litigation experience handling discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparationProven legal research, analytical, and high-quality legal writing skillsComfortable working remotely with strong self-management, responsiveness, and proficiency in legal technology (document management, e-discovery platforms, Microsoft Office, and videoconferencing)Experience managing client relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a virtual settingDemonstrated ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage a substantial caseload with attention to detail and billing accuracyNice to have: prior BigLaw associate experience, prior government attorney or litigation experience, experience with property-related litigation or land-use disputes, or experience as an associate/attorney in related practice areasStrong advocacy skills, professional judgment, and a commitment to client service and ethical practice - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
