Job Title: Network Engineer (Contract to Hire) - Green Bay, WI
Key Responsibilities
Own the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement
of enterprise network infrastructure across on‑premises and Azure cloud environments, including routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity.
Act as the
technical escalation point
for complex network incidents, performing advanced hands‑on troubleshooting to ensure high availability, performance, and security of network services.
Lead network initiatives and projects end‑to‑end , including upgrades, expansions, migrations, lifecycle management, vulnerability remediation, and technology refreshes.
Plan and execute maintenance activities , coordinate system upgrades, and support business continuity and disaster recovery testing related to network services.
Proactively
reduce incident volume and impact
through root‑cause analysis, trend evaluation, and the implementation of preventative and continuous improvement measures.
Manage and coordinate third‑party vendors, managed service providers, and NOC partners , ensuring service quality, accountability, and adherence to organizational standards and timelines.
Collaborate closely with
IT, security, and business stakeholders
to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable network solutions aligned with operational and strategic goals.
Provide
informal technical leadership and mentoring , sharing expertise, guiding architectural decisions within the network domain, and supporting the skill development of IT team members.
Research, evaluate, and influence adoption
of emerging and enhanced network technologies to improve reliability, security posture, and operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain
accurate system documentation , including network diagrams, standards, procedures, and knowledge‑base articles.
Demonstrate a strong
customerservice mindset , managing expectations, advocating for business partners, and ensuring network services effectively enable organizational success.
Ensure
complete and accurate ticket documentation , compliance with standard operating procedures, and clear communication across technical and non‑technical teams.
Meet established
incident response and resolution SLAs
and participate in after‑hours and on‑call support rotations as required.

Equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience will be considered.
5+ years of hands‑on experience engineering and supporting enterprise network environments, including both on‑premises and cloud‑based infrastructure .
Job Type & Location
Contract to Hire position based out of Green Bay, WI. This is a fully remote position.
Pay and Benefits
Pay range: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour.
