NOW HIRING!!! A-Line is seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality care in a residential healthcare setting. This role focuses on medication and treatment administration for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) during the 2nd shift. Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Location: Torrington, CT 06790 Pay Rate: $36–$40/hour Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) Hours: Approximately 24 hours/week Days: Saturday, Sunday, Monday (additional shifts may be available) Position Overview The LPN will support approximately 16 individuals with varying levels of cognitive and medical needs, working under the supervision of the Charge RN to ensure safe, effective, and person-centered care. Key Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders Monitor residents’ health status and report any changes in condition to the Charge RN Provide care for individuals with complex medical needs, including seizure disorders, dysphagia, respiratory conditions, and psychiatric diagnoses Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and treatments Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RN, OT, PT, ST, dietary staff, and primary care providers Support a safe and therapeutic environment, including managing challenging behaviors when necessary Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards Qualifications Active LPN license in the state of Connecticut Minimum of 5 years of LPN experience preferred Prior experience administering medications in a nursing home, SNF, or similar setting required Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities strongly preferred Knowledge of ICF/IID (Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities) a plus Strong understanding of safe medication administration practices Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills Preferred Experience Background in SNF or ICF/IID environments Experience supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary care teams Why Apply?
