Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. If you’re an experienced RN passionate about providing optimal care in a progressive setting, this contract opportunity is a strong fit. Support a 27-bed Medical Progressive Care Unit specializing in the management of complex patients — including those with sepsis, respiratory distress, and various medical and psych disorders. This role is designed for a nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable floating to other inpatient units as needed. Schedule:36 hours per week (0.9 FTE)Day shift: 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.Every other weekend commitment (Saturday/Sunday) Desired Qualifications:Active RN license with at least 2 years of progressive care or stepdown experienceCurrent ACLS and BLS certificationsStrong assessment skills and ability to perform peripheral lab drawsComfort administering gtts including norepinephrine, nicardipine, precedex, insulin, diltiazemFamiliarity with Alaris Pumps and EKG monitoringAbility to chart in Epic EMR (preferred)Flexible, positive, and empathetic demeanor with a strong focus on teamwork Key Responsibilities:Deliver care for patients experiencing a wide range of conditions from substance abuse disorders to acute renal issuesMaintain patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4 for high-quality careAssess, monitor, and implement treatment regimens per unit protocolsCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide compassionate support to patients and familiesFloat to other inpatient areas as needed based on census Additional Information:Scrub color: Navy; professional attire required with no hoodies or non-affiliated sweatshirtsOrientation includes required modules and Epic training on your first day to ensure a smooth transition to the unit Apply now to bring your progressive care skills to this dynamic unit—take the next step in your nursing career and make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives. #p31
