Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step confidently into a dynamic healthcare setting, providing expert nursing care in a progressive care unit specializing in stepdown patients. This contract position offers challenging and rewarding experiences, working within a 27-bed unit with modern technology such as Alaris pumps and EKG monitoring systems. The focus is on delivering comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, including those with sepsis, respiratory distress, substance abuse, endocrine and psych disorders, and renal conditions. Schedule:Shifts: 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.36 hours per week, with every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) requiredFloating to other inpatient areas is expected when census is low in the home unit Qualifications:Active RN licenseCurrent BLS and ACLS certificationsMinimum of 2 years’ experience in progressive care or similar stepdown settingsStrong assessment skills, experience with peripheral lab draws, and proficiency administering titratable drips (norepinephrine, nicardipine, precedex, insulin, diltiazem)Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records preferred Responsibilities:Manage patient assignments with ratios typically 1:3 or 1:4Perform detailed assessments, administer medications, and monitor critical signsCollaborate cohesively with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring smooth patient transitions and optimal outcomesDemonstrate flexibility and professionalism when floating to support other units Perks of this opportunity:Comprehensive orientation, including Epic EMR training if neededModern, well-equipped unit in a supportive team environmentScrub color: Navy (adhering to professional dress standards) Step into an engaging progressive care environment that will both challenge and grow your clinical skills.
