Job Summary
Inspects a variety of incoming materials, parts, and packaged goods to determine if they meet established specifications; documents variances, provides analysis, and assists with the proper disposition of non-conforming material. Performs in-process inspections and testing duties to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer specifications and quality requirements. Assist quality leadership with development and implementation of a Supplier Quality Assurance program. Help to ensure capable processes through statistical analysis

Essential Job Functions

Operate automatic inspection machine (large and small) and perform sorting inspections of in-process and returned products found to be defective.

Perform attribute inspections on products requiring 100% inspection.

Trim fins and remove defects.

Accept or reject products based on visual inspection.

Perform sorting by ultimate strength or by specific defect, which may include periodic magnetic particle inspection.

Complete various scrap and nonconforming material forms and report and maintain inspection reports as required.

Perform audits (in process, finished goods) and equipment calibrations.

Operate cutters, torches and other machines utilized in the operation as needed.

Adhere to company policies and procedures to produce a quality product/service, including reporting non-conforming materials.

Report unusual conditions or questionable items to supervisor.

Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.

Keep work area clean and orderly.

Maintain records as required.

Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Education & Experience

High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

Previous forklift experience required.

Valid forklift license.

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficient in computer technology including Microsoft Office applications.

Able to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week and Fridays) as needed.

Stand and walk continually for 10 hours per day, if necessary.

Climb stairs and ladders.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
Quality Control: Fast-paced, standing on concrete floors up to 10 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Physical Demands
Quality Control: Medium, lifting up to 70 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 70 lbs.
