
Call Center Operator - Healthcare

Job Summary
The Call Center Operator (Practice Communications Coordinator) will serve as the initial point of contact for all patients and is essential to the overall patient experience.
Responsibilities
Provide high quality customer service on every call
Promote teamwork and call center success
Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain the image of Mercy Medical Center
Schedule office appointments and procedures
Take accurate phone messages
Make reminder calls to patients per office protocol
Process prescription refill requests and send them through Epic to provider pools
Ensure referrals are in the system for upcoming appointments
Flag offices for patients with high balances
Send out new patient packets
Scan documents
Work in workqueues (WQs)
Recommend workflow efficiencies to improve the patient experience
Provide patients with information on physicians, directions to locations, and educational materials
Answer patients or physicians' questions
Interview callers to fully understand their information requests
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of one year experience, preferably in a medical office setting
Call Center experience is a plus
Previous GYN experience preferred
EPIC experience preferred
Compensation
Minimum: USD $17.83 per hour
Maximum: USD $26.75 per hour
