Job Description

Monitors and supports compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety guidelines, ALARA principles, and regulatory/accreditation standards. Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. Submits high-quality images and documents promptly, ensuring image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history. Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time. Supports scheduling of personnel to provide adequate coverage during all hours of operation, using flexible staffing when appropriate. Practices infection control standards and uses approved PPE and disinfectant agents. Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care. Ensures quality in imaging, patient care, and workflow. Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting. Serves as a resource to department staff and other team members as needed. Performs staff orientation, training, and coaching, and provides input for performance evaluations. Promotes a positive patient experience by ensuring service excellence, effective communication, and the delivery of timely, high-quality care by the team. Leads, organizes, and directs daily radiology department workflow of patients, technologists, and students. Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience

1+ years experience [Required]
2+ years experience [Preferred]
Experience as a registered technologist or training in all complex exams/procedures such as fluoroscopy and OR image guidance. [Preferred]
Ability to train and coach new hires or radiology students. [Preferred]
Experience with scheduling, coordinating, inventory, protocol management, leadership, etc. [Preferred]

Pay Range

$26.89 - $50.01
