
QA Inspector I - 3rd Shift

Job Summary
Inspect raw material and/or parts, audit production practices and processes, and report on non-conformances.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
Inspect parts as per blueprint and inspection criteria. Raise and document non-conformances, participate in quality management system. Fill out documentation related to the inspection criteria.
Setup : Preparing the machine by loading tools and dies specific to the job requirements.
Operation : Monitoring and operating the machine to punch holes or shapes in copper & aluminum bar, ensuring quality standards are met.
Quality Control : Inspecting finished parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications. Basic blueprint reading, first-off inspections and in-process inspections. Main tools needed are tape measure and calipers.
Technical Skills : Understanding of machining processes, blueprints, and technical drawings, inspection tools.
Attention to Detail : Ability to spot errors and ensure high-quality production standards.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Safety glasses, high visibility vest, hard hat, safety shoes with metatarsal guarding, gloves (cut resistant, cotton, nitrile), sleeves (cut resistant).
This position has been identified as “safety sensitive” by thyssenkrupp under applicable laws. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems
Ability to learn correct use of basic measurement instruments (tape measure, scales, gauges)
Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to accurately inspect basic material, commodities, and/or processes
Safety mindset.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs maximum
Preferred Requirements:
Some college courses or certificates in Quality Assurance-related field of study
Prior experience using basic measurement instruments
Prior experience in a quality assurance inspection position
