Speech Language Pathologist
Provide assessment and intervention services to students with communication disorders to support academic achievement and social functioning. Facilitate collaboration with teachers, specialists, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans.
Responsibilities
Assess and provide intervention for students with articulation, receptive/expressive language, auditory processing, fluency, voice, written language, and literacy challenges.
Differentiates between language difference and disorder for multilingual learners.
Manage classroom activities, communicate objectives, and organize instructional materials.
Collaborate and problem‑solve with students, teachers, staff, special education teams, parents, and administrators.
Participate in professional learning communities to improve instruction and differentiate services.
Deliver differentiated intervention through small‑group, individual, co‑teaching, push‑in, or trans‑disciplinary models.
Apply phonemic awareness and literacy strategies, such as multisensory reading and comprehension techniques.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License.
Active National Provider Identifier and Health First Colorado account.
Student teaching, practicum, or internship experience meeting Colorado requirements.
Background check and fingerprinting.
Basic office equipment proficiency and Microsoft Office knowledge.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Team‑work capability and ability to support student achievement initiatives.
Leadership potential in program and curriculum development.
Commitment to student diversity and inclusive practices.
Role model qualities and continuous learning mindset.
Physical Requirements
Lifting or carrying up to 25 lbs.
Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Primarily indoor work; occasional outdoor student activity monitoring.
Typical noise levels; visual concentration and manual dexterity required.
