
Patient Care Technician

Essential Functions
The Patient Care Technician works on basic care for adult and geriatric patients’ needs including comfort, hygiene, safety, environmental cleanliness under the supervision of professional and practical nursing staff. Completes documentation of patient-related tasks and performs all functions delegated by the nurse staff while adhering to policies, procedures, and scope of practice.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or completion of a nursing assistant program. Two years as a certified nursing assistant or patient care tech may be considered in lieu of education.
Licenses and Certifications
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider – American Heart Association (AHA)
Current Certificate in Non-Violent Crisis Prevention – Crisis Prevention Institute (required within 6 months of hire into an ER or Behavioral Health Unit)
