
Lead Maintenance Mechanic

The Lead Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for overseeing and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facilities, utilities, and grounds to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diversified mechanical and general maintenance duties both indoors and outdoors.
Install, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, building structure and systems.
Basic mechanical responsibilities such as troubleshooting of motors and pumps, fixing door hardware, locks, hinges, and fixtures.
Basic plumbing/hydraulic responsibilities such as repairing leaks, clogged drains and toilets as well as replacing hoses, fittings, cylinders, and valves.
Basic electrical responsibilities such as industrial lighting repairs, basic motor controls, safe work around 480V/3-phase systems and use of multimeters to check voltage, continuity and amperage.
HVAC fundamentals such as changing filters and recognizing heating/cooling issues and alarms.
Basic carpentry skills such as minor repairs to walls, doors, trim, and shelving as well as drywall patching and painting.
Coordinate and schedule inspections and preventive maintenance.
Work from manuals, drawing specifications and written or verbal instructions.
Maintain necessary records through a preventative maintenance system.
Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervisor.
Follow established company rules and regulations, OSHA standards, safety precautions and maintain quality standards.
Primary point of contact for internal facility requests, vendors, cleaning services, landscaping and snow removal.
Manage badge system, facility keys, parking, etc.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Facilities maintenance field within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of OSHA and environmental standards and regulations.
Experience in the use of hand tools, power tools, test equipment, material handling equipment and operating personal lift equipment.
Fire safety systems awareness (sprinklers, alarms – inspection support).
Compensation
Employee Type: Hourly
Salary Minimum: $60,000
Salary Maximum: $75,000
