About the Role
We are seeking a Summer IT Intern to assist with basic IT support and day‑to‑day technology tasks at our La Porte, Texas facility. This is a temporary, hands‑on role designed for a student currently pursuing an education in Information Technology or a related field. The intern will work alongside the local IT team and gain exposure to real‑world IT operations in an office and manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with basic IT support tasks for end users, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
Help set up computers and equipment for new employees and temporary staff
Perform simple troubleshooting for common hardware and software issues
Assist with organizing and tracking IT equipment and inventory
Help document basic IT procedures and tasks
Support the IT team with day‑to‑day operational needs as assigned
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a college or technical program pursuing Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Basic familiarity with Windows computers and common applications
Willingness to learn and take direction
Good communication skills and a positive, customer‑focused attitude
Ability to work onsite during the summer term
