Assistant Property Manager ATX-753S – Austin, TX

Assistant Property Manager is responsible for assisting the Property Manager in day-to-day operations.
Starts at $25/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:50am–6:30pm (off weekends)
Responsibilities

In the absence of the Property Manager, the Assistant Property Manager is in charge of the office and teams and shall become responsible for all monies pertaining to the property and must ensure daily bank deposits are made.
Show apartments and process applications for prospective residents. Ensure that lease or rental agreements are properly completed and renewed.
Coordinate all details of move-ins and move-outs.
Accurately process paperwork and ensure all data in resident files (income, credit reports, assets, etc.) are kept confidential.
Post rent and prepare bank deposits (as needed).
Prepare and maintain resident files according to company policies.
Initiate the lease renewal process.
Prepare late notices, lease renewal letters, and assist the Property Manager with various managerial reports as requested.
Assist with the eviction of tenants in compliance with court orders and directions from Attorneys and upper management.
Prepare weekly traffic/renewal status reports.
Keep the advertising file up to date.
Inspect recently vacated apartments to determine the disposition of the security deposits.
Train new employees as requested by the Property Manager.
Ensure all payments from residents are collected and recorded accurately.
Participate in resident relations and retention programs and activities.
Assist with prompt and professional action on all resident complaints and provide excellent customer service to all residents and prospective residents.
Other job functions

Attends and participates in required training.
Drives motorized vehicles on or off property for company business purposes.
Supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Community Director.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

At least 1 year of leasing experience is required.
Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations related to the multifamily industry.
Basic accounting skills, including commissions, percentages, and discount calculations.
Strong supervisory, customer service, and sales background preferred.
Organizational, multi-tasking, communication skills, attention to detail, and basic computer skills.
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and have a valid Driver's License with no restrictions.
