Accounting Clerk
General Purpose of the Position
Supports the Accounting department by managing data entry, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in financial records. Will Assist the F&B Department with accounting office procedures and general account reconciliations to stay on track to budget. Will assist with month end inventories and processing of data for month end closing of Financial statements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform data entry for accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Assists with accounts payable and receivable functions, including statement processing and payment reconciliation.

Assists with month-end closing procedures.

Assist and/or conduct physical inventory and data entry of inventory.

Monitors usage of F&B inventory by other departments and prepares monthly usage report.

Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts.

Maintains an orderly accounting and filing system.

Prepares entries and conducts regular testing of inventory reports by various departments.

Focus on F&B invoices, inventory and reporting.

Generates point-of-sale (POS) reports from revenue centers.

Review invoices and check printing for board member approval & signature. Coordinate scheduling and provide assistance with various audits, taxes, annual reports.

Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger and review periodic reports of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and correction of errors prior to close of accounting period.

Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Controller and CFO.

Skills and Abilities Required

Strong time management and organizational skill, customer service oriented attitude, strong written and verbal communication skills and high volume data entry experience required.

Excellent Math skills; high aptitude for figures.

Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, Intermediate MS Word skills.

Experience with ClubEssentials software a plus.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the Accounting field.

Able to work flexible work schedule in order to accommodate business levels.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting, Finance, or Business from a four-year college or university is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

A minimum of two years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Inventory Management is desirable. Experience in the Hospitality field a plus.

Compensation
$24.00- $28.00 per hour
