Position Purpose
The ShiftSupervisor leads and supports resident care staff while ensuring high‑quality care is consistently delivered. This role oversees daily operations and staff performance on each shift, while ensuring all resident service plans are followed with dignity and respect.
Qualifications
Must be able to read,writeand carry out directions in English
Caregiving experience or certification preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Competency Evaluated Nursing Assistant (CENA), Medication Assistant (MA), or Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LPN)
Leadership, supervisory, and communication experienced preferred
Minimum of 18 years of age
Mustsuccessfulcomplete the Heritage Property Management Med Tech Certification training course and pass the Med Tech test.
CPR Certified
Must be able to pass the state mandated criminal background screening andpre-employment drug screening for illegal substances
Essential Functions
Supervise resident services staff and daily care delivery
Ensure residents receive care per service plans
Complete and update resident assessments and care plans as needed or directed by a supervisor
Communicate with Licensed Health Care Professionals, families, and care partnersregardingresident conditions,medicationsand treatments to ensure continuum of care
Responds to and leads emergency situations to ensure resident safety
Complete required documentation for residents, staff and visitor incidents or injuries, and notifyappropriate parties
Perform staff performance reviews as needed (90 days, and annually)
Deliver staff coaching and counseling as needed
Assisted with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility, dining)
Respond promptly to resident requests and call lights
Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to supervisor
Document care and services as directed
Assistresidents with meals and life enrichment activities as needed
Train staff as assigned and as necessary to assure the goals andobjectivesof the living center are fulfilled
Physical and Mental Requirements
Ability tolift upto 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, squat, kneel, push, and pull for extended periods.
Ability to assistresidents with showers, toileting, transfers, and personal care.
