Machine Operator - Solid Table Surface Grinder
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Plate Technology division as a Machine Operator for our Solid Table Surface Grinder. This is an excellent opportunity for long‑term employment with a growing company that offers plenty of advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain a Solid Table Surface Grinder to grind precision steel plates to exact specifications.
Follow established procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent quality.
Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
Measure workpieces using micrometers and other precision measuring instruments.
Perform regular cleaning and preventative maintenance on machines and the work area.
Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
May be required to operate other grinding machines or assist with secondary operations.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and technical drawings.
Strong mathematics skills with the ability to read micrometers and perform calculations.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and machine operations is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Ability to work 8‑hour shifts, first or second (flexibility preferred).
