Overview

Responsibilities
Provide intraoperative support across orthopedic, neurological, robotic‑assisted, vascular, general, urology, and gynecology procedures, including instrument handling and passing.
Prepare operating spaces, set up instruments, equipment, and supplies for cases while maintaining sterile technique.
Assist with patient positioning, draping, instrument counts, specimen handling, and coordination with the surgical team.
Monitor equipment function and communicate with anesthesia and surgeons to anticipate needs and maintain patient safety.
Support turnover between cases, document intraoperative information per protocol, and help with room readiness for subsequent procedures.
Ensure proper disposal of sharps and contaminated materials and assist with room cleanup following procedures.
Requirements
Experience supporting OR procedures in orthopedic, neurological, robotic, vascular, general, urology, or gynecology specialties.
Strong understanding of sterile technique, instrument handling, and safety standards.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced surgical environment with on‑call availability as required.
Effective teamwork and communication skills; reliability and adaptability in a travel assignment.
