Employment Status: Part Time Seasonal
Salary: $18 per hour
Schedule: Pool is open from 10am – 8pm/Dusk Everyday Onsite. WEEKENDS + HOLIDAYS
Season: May 27th – September 24th
POSITION SUMMARY
The Pool Attendant is responsible for monitoring the pool area to ensure a safe environment for all residents and guests. This role enforces pool rules, observes swimmer activity, and responds to emergencies as needed. Responsibilities include providing first aid, assisting swimmers in distress, and administering CPR when necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monitor pool activity to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all residents and guests
Ensure all residents and guests sign in and follow community guidelines
Enforce pool rules and community policies consistently and professionally
Maintain cleanliness and overall appearance of the pool deck, restrooms, and surrounding areas
Set up, organize, and secure pool furniture and equipment daily
Complete routine checks of pool areas, including skimmers, grills, and general upkeep
Report any safety concerns, incidents, or maintenance issues to management promptly
Follow all opening and closing procedures, including securing the pool area
Absolutely NO ALCOHOL or GLASS containers at the pool EVER
REQUIREMENTS
Must meet minimum age requirements for certification and job duties
CPR Certification - American Red Cross in-person course (Required).
Employer will reimburse for certification
Availability for weekends and holidays
Should possess leadership skills and have good judgement in making decisions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to react to emergency situations by quick movements, strenuous activity, and on occasion assist or lift persons in distress of varying weights. Required to remain alert to dangerous situations while sitting, standing, or walking for various lengths of time.
