The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Special Education teaching position for the 2026-2027 school year.
Job Summary
The teacher reports to the Building Principal and works collaboratively with school staff to develop and implement specialized instruction that meets each student’s goals outlined in the Individual Education Plan and other targeted interventions. Responsibilities include creating a classroom environment conducive to learning and employing effective instructional techniques for learners with disabilities.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold current Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator Licensure with Special Education Endorsement (PK-Age 21).
Excellent communication skills with students, teachers, and parents.
Knowledge of current teaching techniques for students with disabilities.
Ability to write and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Ability to work cooperatively with support personnel on a daily basis.
Experience in special education teaching.
Working Conditions
Salary is in accordance with the teacher salary schedule. The district offers fringe benefits such as health, dental, and life insurance.
