VACANCY
The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Special Education teaching position for the 2026-2027 school year.
JOB SUMMARY
The teacher reports to the Building Principal and works collaboratively with school staff to develop and implement effective specialized instruction that meets each individual's goals contained within the Individual Education Plan and other targeted interventions; creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques for learners with disabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must hold appropriate current Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator Licensure with Special Education Endorsement (PK-Age 21).
Excellent communication skills with students, teachers and parents.
Knowledge of current teaching techniques for students with disabilities.
Ability to write & implement Individual Education Plans (IEP's).
Ability to work cooperatively with support personnel on a daily basis.
Satisfactory special education teaching experience.
