Role Clarification & Key Performance Areas

Responsibilities

Coordinate and champion high-quality faculty librarian services, evaluating, coaching, providing guidance and support to individual librarians, building performance, and representing the group’s operational needs.

Assist with planning and implementation of plans for the learning and teaching services.

Coordinate information services and manage day-to-day operations and problem solving.

Lead a team of faculty librarians for delivery of a 21st‑century information service.

Communicate within and beyond the library; spearhead the marketing of the faculty librarians’ programme and activities; represent the library at faculty board and faculty library committees.

Compile quarterly reports.

Perform faculty librarian duties and contribute to training activities.

Perform other related duties as designated by the directorate.

Qualifications & Experience

B.Bibl degree or equivalent qualification.

At least six years of relevant experience in an academic library or comparable institutional environment.
