Behavioral Health Technician Full-Time (Day/NOC) shift

Overview

Our Level 1, acute care psychiatric facility located in Glendale is licensed to treat adults and adolescents for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. Our team is dedicated to the wellness of individuals, their families, and the community through prevention, intervention, and treatment.
Responsibilities
Assist the RN in inpatient care under the supervision of the RN.
Help patients with activities of daily living.
Actively participate in daily shift rounds and the treatment plan process.
Assist in creating and maintaining a therapeutic environment.
Gather information and provide crisis intervention to support the RN in implementing the patient\'s treatment and care plan.
Conduct activities/groups as assigned by the Charge Nurse/Therapist to support treatment goals and objectives.
Ensure a safe environment.
All BHT duties are performed in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, as well as those of state and regulatory agencies.
Skills

Resolve interpersonal conflict in a straightforward, honest, and timely manner.
Set priorities, be organized, and be a self-starter.

Requirements
Willing and able to work a full 12-hour shift. Both Day and Night time (NOC) shifts available.
Certified in TO, CPR, and First Aid Training or completed within the first 30 days of hire.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or verifiable equivalent.
Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check as well as a physical.
Must currently possess or be eligible for a Level 1 DPS Fingerprint Clearence Card.
