The Culinary Banquet Supervisor will work with the Banquet Manager and Executive chef to manage the banquet team, functions, and the hourly kitchen employees. This position is also responsible for producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests' needs in a timely manner and supervising the set‑up service and clean‑up of all assigned banquet functions. The Culinary Banquet Supervisor will have basic skills in department training and is capable of assuming department responsibilities in the absence of the Banquet Manager and/or Executive Chef.

Responsibilities

Leading and coaching the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results

Inspect the set-up of meeting and banquet functions checking them against the Banquet Event Order.

Supervise and assist with the set‑up of assigned banquet functions ensuring that the hotel's standards are met and advance preparation for service is adequate to allow efficient service to the guest once the function begins.

Assist in service of banquet functions as required.

Assist in banquet set‑up as required.

Supervise and assist with the breakdown after the completion of functions to ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.

Inspect the sanitation of all function space and storage areas to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the department.

Producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests' needs in a timely manner.

Monitoring food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis

Assisting with monitoring payroll costs and overtime

Qualifications

Requires refined communication skills, strong leadership and relationship skills.

3+ years of previous banquet experience preferred.

Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Must have an open and flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Must exhibit a positive attitude and have a passion for teamwork.
