Job Description
Position:

Assistant Boys Soccer Coach (SY 26-27) (Stipend)

Department:

Athletics

Reports to:

Director of Athletics

Affiliation:

Unit A, Section F

Salary range:

$3,950–$4,910 stipend

Time Commitment:

Six days a week.
Twenty to twenty-five hours a week.
Three games a week.
Season Length: 8/24/2026 – 11/23/2026

Summary
The Watertown Public Schools seeks an outstanding Assistant coach to coach the boys' soccer team for the 2025‑2026 school year. WPS is dedicated to excellence, equity, and community. Be a part of creating a bright future for WPS students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coach the team they are assigned to.

Assume the duties of the head coach when the head coach is not present.

Assist in coaching at practice and games.

Implement practice plans.

Oversee scouting of opposition.

Be a liaison between the captain and the head coach.

Coordinate with the athletic office on rosters, awards, and medical issues.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

CPR certified

NFHS concussion course completed

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent

Degree from an accredited college or university

Experience coaching soccer

Strong communication and leadership skills
