Position Overview
Texas Oncology is looking for a Full-time Clinical Research Nurse (RN) to join our team! This position will support the Ft Worth, Tx location. This is a Full-time Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP)
This incentive program typically vests over a three-year period and is tied to individual performance and operational success. Awards are discretionary and based on position, performance, and potential for future career growth. Awards are reviewed and approved during the annual compensation review. LTIP awards are subject to continued employment through the award payment date and governed by the written terms and conditions.

Job Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to work as a nurse in oncology clinical research. The Clinical Research Nurse provides care to patients receiving cutting-edge treatments within the oncology clinic, manages the patient journey, and supports professional development opportunities including tuition reimbursement and annual bonus for oncology certified nurses.

Responsibilities

Work closely with physicians to identify and screen potential patients for clinical trial participation

Present trial concepts and details to oncology patients while conducting the informed consent process

Assess patients for adverse events and/or changes in condition

Provide staff and patient education regarding the management and administration of investigational product

Ensure accurate and timely documentation and data entry to meet trial requirements

Serve as a liaison between clinic departments to ensure proper trial conduct

Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Clinical Research Nurse (RN) will have the following background and experience:

Level 1

Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)

Current RN licensure in state of practice

Current BLCS or ACLS certification required

Minimum 1 year RN experience required

OCN certification strongly preferred

CCRC or CCRP certification preferred

Oncology or Research experience preferred

Level 2

Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required, preferably in oncology

Level Senior

Minimum seven years of nursing experience required, preferably in oncology

Working Conditions
The environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to oncology/hematology clinic environments.

Physical Requirements
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
