Registered Nurse (RN), Behavioral Health – PRN
As a Registered Nurse, you will perform patient assessments, initiate nursing interventions, provide age‑appropriate care, document medical necessity, update interdisciplinary care plans, conduct quality improvement assessments, supervise shift activities, monitor patient conditions, administer medication, and deliver compassionate, patient‑centered care.
Responsibilities
Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
Assesses the patient and plans care within set timeframes and documents findings according to policies.
Oversees and supervises the shift.
Demonstrates leadership through delegating tasks such as groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc.
Monitors staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and that patient care is consistently delivered.
Monitors patient for changes in condition and responds accordingly, including notifying the physician.
Follows hospital policy for medication administration.
Consistently uses empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients.
Delivers quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures.
Assists or performs comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients.

Qualifications
Associate’s degree in nursing required.
Current Registered Nurse license as required by state regulations.
Preferred: 1 year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility.
CPR certification required within 30 days of employment.
De‑escalation certification required within 30 days of employment.
