Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care in the ER, including rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of acutely ill and injured patients
Triage patients on arrival, determine priorities, and implement timely interventions per protocols
Administer medications, initiate intravenous therapy, monitor response, and manage high-acuity situations
Perform basic ED procedures and assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and resuscitation as needed
Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record; communicate with the care team and obtain clinician orders
Collaborate with ED staff, intra-hospital teams, and external providers; educate patients and families about treatment plans and discharge instructions
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse license (RN) in Oregon
BLS and ACLS certification required
ER experience: 3+ years strongly preferred
Ability to work night shifts; comfortable in a fast-paced ED environment
Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment
