Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse – Med Surg, Oswego, NY. Travel assignment beginning 05/25/2026 for 8 weeks. Night shift (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) on a 37‑bed Med Surg unit with a 5:1 patient‑to‑nurse ratio. Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to adult/geriatric patients on a Med Surg unit, including monitoring and documenting status.

Administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse effects.

Monitor vital signs, assess changes in patient condition, and communicate findings to the care team.

Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record (Meditech charting) and ensure patient safety and privacy.

Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other health professionals to implement plan of care.

Assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing tasks; may float to ICU, ED, or OB as a helper if census is low on the unit.

Requirements

Current Licensed Practical Nurse license (New York) in good standing.

BLS certification.

1+ year of Med Surg experience as an LPN.

Meditech charting experience.

Ability to work night shift (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) and adapt to unit needs.

Experience with adult/geriatric populations; willingness to float to ICU, ED, or OB as needed.
