Qualifications
Graduation from an approved school of Occupational Therapy
Current Occupational Therapy license in the state in which they practice
Current CPR certification
Responsibilities
Perform clinic care and occupational therapist duties in accordance with the needs of the clinic and patients
Promote and utilize appropriate patient care protocols relating to the physical, cognitive, neurologic, psychosocial, and functional needs of the patient population
Establish occupational therapy interventions based on evaluation and examination, physician orders, and patient therapy goals
Competently perform appropriate occupational therapy techniques and procedures
Ensure continuity of patient care through written and verbal communication with other healthcare professionals
Recommend necessary patient care equipment prior to discharge and assist with acquisition when appropriate
Document findings, patient progress, and procedures performed within established time frames
Submit all patient billing at the end of each day
Instruct patients and family members in home exercise and care programs
Demonstrate effective time management
Comply with quality improvement standards
Skills

Basic computer knowledge
