Larkin Hoffman is seeking to add a Corporate Attorney with Healthcare and Regulatory experience to our Business and Corporate Law Department as either an Associate or Shareholder track Of Counsel Attorney, depending on years of experience. This position will work closely with our business and corporate law practice group to support clients with healthcare and nonprofit transactional and regulatory matters. This successful candidate will possess three to eight years of healthcare and nonprofit transactional and regulatory experience and be admitted to practice in the state of Minnesota.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Advising Medicaid-enrolled providers on state and federal regulatory compliance including enrollment, licensing, audits, and reimbursement disputes; representing clients in interactions with state agencies and managed care organizations.

Analyzing and resolving complex reimbursement issues including overpayment determinations, rate‑setting questions, and appeals; drafting persuasive administrative appeals and position statements.

Counseling nonprofit and healthcare organizations on governance including board structure, fiduciary duties, bylaws, conflicts of interest, and transactions implicating tax‑exempt status.

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of healthcare‑related agreements (provider contracts, management agreements, affiliation arrangements) with attention to fraud and abuse laws.

Monitoring and interpreting changes in healthcare law and policy; providing practical, business‑oriented guidance to clients and contributing to client alerts and thought leadership.

Education and/or Experience

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited United States law school.

Licensed to practice law in the state of Minnesota.

Efficient and concise research and drafting skills.

Preference will be given to candidates with a three to eight years of experience with a variety of healthcare and nonprofit transactional and regulatory matters.

Compensation
The estimated starting annual pay range for an associate in this position would be $160,000 - $170,000 per year and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting compensation at the time of posting. Higher starting compensation may be offered to an attorney with more experience than an associate and/or with a portable book of business. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, and skill set.

Billable Hours
Our Firm has adopted a holistic compensation structure with a strong bonus program that includes bonus eligibility starting at 1650 client billable hours.
