deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer to support development of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA's) Ground-Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) program on the GWS program.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM and 6 years of related experience, or 5 years of experience with a PhD in STEM.
Strong technical presentation skills
Experience estimating planning and scheduling Algorithm development and Analysis work for a technical team
Recent and extensive MATLAB and Python Experience/ proficiency.
Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and absorb new concepts.
Proven experience in developing, prototyping and evaluating complex algorithms
Extensive background in mathematics or science
Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment
Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Special Skills Desired
Experience with the MDA GMD program.
Advanced degree in Mathematics or Physics
Unix/Linux Operating System Experience
Experience with planning / scheduling algorithms
Experience with sensor modeling, communication modeling, and / or missile modelling
Battle Management or Fire Control experience
Experienced with Linux, scripting, and operations
Applicant selected must have an active Secret security clearance . Must be a U.S. Citizen.
