The position reports to the OIMBA Director, works closely with Graduate Studies and the School of Business**,** and is responsible for supporting the OIMBA program through leadership in and execution of duties related to student recruitment, onboarding, community engagement, and program administration. This position is hybrid.**Responsibilities:** The OIMBA Community Coordinator and Administrative Lead, is responsible for coordinating recruitment initiatives, managing student systems (SLATE, Canvas), supporting immersions and special events, maintaining alumni engagement, and overseeing key administrative and financial processes (in Workday). The position serves as a central point of coordination across students, faculty, alumni, and university partners to ensure a high-quality graduate student experience.**Minimum Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree* Two (2) years of relevant professional experience in higher education administration, program coordination, recruitment, or related field.* Experience with CRM systems (e.g., SLATE or similar).* Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas or similar).* Experience with administrative or financial systems (e.g., Workday or similar).* Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.* Proficiency in MS Office Suite.* Capacity to effectively handle assignments and oversee diverse projects.* Willingness to work as part of a team.* Understanding of and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.* Experience in diverse communication methods, including conducting virtual meetings via platforms like Zoom and engaging in direct conversations during meetings and events.* Experience organizing or facilitating meetings or events, including planning, scheduling, preparing agendas and materials, or providing logistical support.**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Master’s degree.* Experience in graduate education or student services.* Experience with student recruitment and admissions processes.* Familiarity with the outdoor industry.* Experience planning events, travel, or immersion programs.* Experience managing professional social media accounts.* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.* Ability to work collaboratively across departments and stakeholders.* Attention to detail and ability to manage complex processes.* Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills.* Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive community.* Basic understanding of budgeting and financial management principles.* Prior experience working in an academic or higher education environment.**Compensation:** This full-time, FLSA exempt position offers an annual base salary rate of $50,000-$55,500. Western offers an excellent benefits package including shared premiums for a comprehensive health insurance plan, dental insurance, retirement plan, life insurance, and other insurance options.
