Human Resources Intern – Fall 2026
Big Night Entertainment Group is currently seeking a Human Resource Intern for Fall 2026.
Responsibilities
Managing incoming mail, including sorting, distributing, scanning, and filing
Scanning and uploading employee and applicant documents into the HCM system, ensuring accurate digital recordkeeping
Assisting with bi‑weekly payroll distribution, including paycheck sorting and delivery
Delivering paychecks and other items to Boston‑area venues, walking or using public transportation as needed
Providing general administrative and organizational support across the office
Greeting candidates, visitors, and new hires; providing tours of office and company spaces
Maintaining and updating the employee bulletin board
Uploading and auditing employee training records; accurately recording training hours in employee timesheets
Supporting ATS maintenance and cleanup
Conducting regular audits of the HCM system to identify outstanding compliance items (I‑9s, checklists, no‑pay lists, offer letters, etc.); following up with managers to ensure timely completion and offering support as needed
Monitoring and managing the HR Intern email inbox, responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Representing the HR team at company charitable events and providing support as needed
Other projects as assigned
Requirements
Must be a student of a college or university
Must be able to provide documentation from school that you will be receiving credit for internship
Area of study related to Human Resources preferred
Must be available weekdays
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Must be punctual, organized and detail oriented
Must be able to demonstrate problem‑solving skills and show initiative
Must be able to handle a fast‑paced environment
Hospitality, administrative or customer service experience is a plus
Knowledge of department systems is a plus (ex: Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft, Adobe, Hotschedules, LinkedIn, etc.)
Must be able to keep sensitive information and employment records confidential
Must have a knowledge of the Big Night Brand and/or interest in the hospitality and/or entertainment industries

This position is located in a beautiful new office at The Hub on Causeway with scenic views of the Zakim bridge. This part‑time, unpaid internship is office‑based and is NOT a remote opportunity
Internship functions require hours of sitting, typing, and use of a computer
May be required to lift or move up to 30 lbs using proper lifting techniques and work in a high‑energy environment
