
Probate Paralegal

A boutique law firm in North Bethesda is seeking Paralegal to support a busy probate and estate administration practice. This is a role ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with a high-volume caseload.
Responsibilities
Prepare, organize, and file probate petitions, inventories, accountings, and supporting documentation with Maryland courts (paper filing only; no e-filing)
Manage estate administration cases from opening to closing, including asset location, deadline tracking, and coordinating withdrawals from the state
Draft client correspondence and estate-related letters; prepare and send physical mailings
Serve as a primary point of contact for client communication and coordinate with the Registers of Wills office by phone regarding case status and filing requirements
Maintain organized, accurate case files in both electronic and physical format
Manage documents using Clio case management software and Microsoft 365, including PDF conversion and records management
Qualifications
Associate's degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies from an ABA-approved program preferred
2 to 4 years of probate-specific experience strongly preferred; candidates with this background will be considered for higher compensation
Working knowledge of Maryland probate procedures and court filing requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft 5 6 ; experience with Clio or similar case management software a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple active matters simultaneously
