Probate Paralegal
Salary: $65,000 - $100,000 per year
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of all court documents, including but not limited to inventories, accountings, and plans.
Prepare and maintain estate and trust accountings and tax records.
Conduct legal research and draft legal documents including motions, petitions, and orders.
Coordinate and manage deadlines, ensuring all legal documents are filed in a timely manner.
Collaborate with clients, court personnel, and other professionals to gather information and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
Monitor case progress, maintain case files, and update clients regularly on case status.
Utilize legal software for e-filing pleadings and other court documents.
Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars.
Qualifications
Experience as a Trusts & Estates Paralegal.
Paralegal certification or equivalent legal qualification is required.
Proficiency in preparing annual accountings, inventories, annual plans, initial plans, e-filing pleadings, and drafting motions.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong research and report‑generating skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software platforms.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of discretion and confidentiality for clients.
Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
