Accounting Specialist (AP/AR)

Vaco is recruiting for an Accounting Specialist (AR/AP). This is an immediate opportunity! Pay Rate: $25- $28/hr
Process high-volume vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely approvals
Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including payment processing (checks, ACH, wires)
Handle accounts receivable functions including invoicing, cash application, and collections
Reconcile vendor statements, customer accounts, and assist with resolving discrepancies
Support month-end close by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
Collaborate with internal departments (purchasing, operations, sales) to resolve billing and payment issues
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
Assist with process improvements to increase efficiency across AP/AR functions
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
