The goal of MSI Warehouse Associate Level 2 is to perform all warehouse functions to accurately receive, stock, pick and ship inventory. Understand and utilize Cross operating systems to always provide effective and efficient customer service. Additionally, to assume responsibility for the warehouse in the absence of the Warehouse Manager. Providing leadership and training to other team members as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Direct workflow based on staffing and job rotation schedule.

Assist in warehouse workflow if needed to accomplish daily objectives.

Proficient knowledge of all WMS screens related to warehouse functions and ability to train warehouse team members on these functions.

Practice all Cross Company Cultural Cornerstones daily.

Complete all monthly assigned training.

Assist the warehouse team in vendor shipping error resolutions.

Accurately process and deliver transfer orders to Greensboro MTC location.

Accurately process transfer orders for Greensboro HCS including putaway and yearly audit preparations.

Inspect, approve, deny, and process customer returns.

Bill all motor freight shipments through Retrans and Netsuite.

Work with a sense of urgency.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Restock packing supplies as needed.

Have an excellent knowledge of how to ship small packages using multiple carriers via their shipping portal.

Proficient knowledge of how to access carrier websites and/or personnel for special quotes or other information.

Know how to process and quote special service orders including same day delivery, courier shipments, international shipments, and specially routed truck shipments.

Maintain a safe, clean and organized warehouse.

Achieve and maintain forklift certification.

Follow all Cross Company policies for the safe operation of machinery and equipment.

Perform special projects as assigned by your supervisor.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED required.

1 to 2 years experience in a warehouse environment.

Fork lift truck experience preferred.

RF Scanner experience preferred.

Good driving record required.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. Requires walking primarily on a level surface for varying periods throughout the day in the plant site area.

Able to lift or carry up to 70 lbs.

Postural activities include climbing, maneuvering, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling above, under and around machinery, equipment occasionally and includes reaching, handling, touching, grasping machine parts, controls, control panels, levers, and switches as needed.

Ability to climb ladders, stairs, platforms and scaffolding to diagnose/troubleshoot process and equipment occasionally.

Physical effort required; continuous mental and visual attention required.

Exposure to manufacturing areas where personal protective equipment such as Safety Glasses with Side Shields and Hearing Protection may be required. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. Ability to read documents and computer screens.
