Job Description
Watlow is seeking an
Accounts Receivable Manager
who will be responsible for leading the Accounts Receivable function across the Americas, overseeing enterprise‑wide credit and collections policies and performance. The role will manage a centralized team, partner with cross‑functional stakeholders and regional leaders, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance cash flow, strengthen controls and improve operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Leadership:
Lead the AR function across the Americas, driving operational strategy, priorities and performance.
Credit & Collections Expertise:
Oversee enterprise‑wide credit policies, customer creditworthiness decisions and collections strategies.
Process Improvement:
Identify trends, streamline workflows and implement best practices to continuously improve AR processes, controls and service delivery.
Cash Flow Impact:
Partner closely with Treasury to deliver accurate cash forecasts, trend analysis and insights supporting enterprise liquidity planning.
Team Development:
Coach, mentor and develop a high‑performing collections team while fostering accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
Cross‑Functional Partnership:
Collaborate with controllers, finance leaders, sales teams and business units across the Americas to resolve issues and enhance customer payment performance.
Compliance & Controls:
Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with company policies, credit regulations and financial reporting requirements.
Transformation & Growth:
Support acquisitions, systems implementations and enterprise initiatives that strengthen the AR organization and position it for future success.
What you´ll need to succeed?
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
7+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit, Collections or broader Finance leadership roles
Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams in a multi‑site or regional environment
Strong knowledge of credit risk management, collections processes, cash application, reconciliations and AR controls
Experience creating, improving and implementing policies, procedures and process improvements
Experience working in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
Proficiency in verbal and written English
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree such as MBA or Master’s in Finance, Accounting or related field
CPA, CGMA or other relevant professional certification
Project management experience, including leading system implementations or transformation initiatives
Experience with Lean, Continuous Improvement or Value Stream Management (VSM) methodologies
Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations or shared services environments
Background working in a global or matrixed organization with exposure to multiple regions
Proficiency in Spanish (verbal and written)
