Position Summary: The Dining Services Hospitality Associate will serve customers efficiently and courteously, working with management and coworkers to instill and foster the values of the Villanova Mission Statement and the Dining Services Mission Statement. The individual will focus on our core values: safety and sanitation, friendly courteous service, and excellence.

Responsibilities

Set up, maintain, and break down all service lines; prepare and/or cook food for cold production and pizza/grill lines.

Stock, rotate, and replenish merchandise as needed; handle back‑of‑house production including salad and fruit bars, deli prep, desserts, and commissary items.

Work stations serving customers such as sandwich/salad/pizza/grill/Holy Grounds areas and register stations.

Serve customers efficiently and courteously, providing proper portions and following all safety and sanitation practices.

Know all menu items and recipes, following standards.

Clean and sanitize food equipment and dining room tables and chairs.

Non‑essential Functions

Work special events and weekends as required.

Assist in dish room duties including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash/recycling.

Perform additional duties as directed by supervisor or manager.

Minimum Qualifications

Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Practices excellent personal hygiene and adheres to uniform standards.

Can follow directions, complete assigned tasks, and work with minimal supervision while interacting regularly with people.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic knowledge of food‑service safety and sanitation.

ServSafe Training and Allergy Awareness Training.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods; lift, push or pull up to 10 lbs independently and up to 40 lbs with assistance.

Ability to withstand extreme temperatures.

Use of knives, slicers, and kitchen equipment.

Exposure to cleaning chemicals and weather during special events.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $17.50 per hour with shift differential for qualifying shifts. Benefits include a comprehensive holisitic package, paid time off, retirement savings plan, wellness programs, tuition assistance, and more.
