Customer Service Technician
The right candidate’s primary goal is to maintain an elevated level of customer satisfaction among homeowners. This is achieved by facilitating all customer warranty requests, whether by making the repairs directly or scheduling subcontractors to do so, and by proactively resolving customer issues after closing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluate homeowner repair issues to determine if they are warrantable items
Process written or electronic work orders and/or verbal instructions from supervisors for homeowner repairs
Perform necessary repairs to homes such as carpentry work, drywall, texture repair, and painting
Schedule and manage subcontractors to make designated warranty repairs
Ensure all repairs are completed within compliance standards
Certify that warranty work is completed within contractor obligations
Develop and maintain good rapport with subcontractors and homeowners
Follow up with homeowners to ensure concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner
Process charge‑back documentation and invoices
Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
Ability to work overtime
Ability to travel overnight
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Three or more years of related experience, including carpentry work, drywall, texture repair, and painting
Must have a vehicle capable of carrying supplies, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to drive among designated communities during day and night
Excel in effective and positive communication
Work effectively in high‑pressure situations
Ability to work independently and be productive without supervision
Ability to provide a systematic approach in carrying out assignments
Ability to use the DRH Warranty applications on a smart phone, tablet, or laptop
Proficiency with MS Office and email
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
Prior customer service experience is a plus
Experience with minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repair work preferred
