$58,656 – $92,982 (based on education, experience and/or military service)

Key Responsibilities
Select relevant materials, resources, and technologies to support instruction.
Prepare lesson plans that meet school and district standards, are differentiated, and include clear expectations.
Align planning with New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards and Career Competencies.
Modify instructional plans based on student achievement data.
Use Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) where prescribed.
Set clear learning outcomes and assess them with written, verbal, or authentic assessments.
Communicate expectations clearly and use positive reinforcement.
Organize tasks that allow independent student work and responsibility.
Maintain a safe and caring learning environment.
Handle misbehavior appropriately without escalation.
Keep accurate records of attendance, grades, and instructional data.
Analyze data to maximize student achievement.
Maintain professional competence through continuous development.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices.
Provide career guidance and utilize community resources.
Communicate with parents/guardians via phone, email, and meetings.
Update the district’s electronic data system regularly.
Adhere to school rules, administrative regulations, and board policies.
Teach only the approved curriculum as certified.
Perform additional duties as directed.
Qualifications
Valid New Jersey Teacher of Comprehensive Science Certificate (Physical Science/Physics) or equivalent eligibility.
Proven knowledge of subject matter and effective teaching methods.
Knowledge of New Jersey Student Learning Standards.
Familiarity with instructional technologies.
Ability to maintain a safe, secure and caring environment.
Strong communication skills with parents/guardians.
Successful criminal background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency.
Meet health qualifications required of all personnel.
Willing to meet New Jersey residency requirements or relocate within 365 days.
