Job Description
The position will support the credit recovery program.
Schedule
Hours: 7:45 AM – 12:45 PM, Monday through Thursday. Teaching: June 10 – July 21 (first semester 6/10–6/30, second semester 7/1–7/21).
Responsibilities
Teach Language Arts and/or Reading to students in grades 6‑8 and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Hold or be able to obtain WV teacher certification in English or English/Language Arts, Grades 5‑9 or 5‑12.
Demonstrate ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily and be a qualified, effective teacher.
Salary and Benefits
Salary in accordance with Berkeley County Schools Teacher Pay Scale, based on verified years of experience and degree level. 200‑day employment term.
Additional Information
If a certified candidate is unavailable, eligible applicants may include those with a first‑class permit, alternative certification, Teacher‑in‑Residence, or permanent substitute status.
Endorsement Code: 1000__English, 1001__English/Language Arts.
