About The Position

MedBridge Healthcare is seeking an experienced RPSGT or RT to work at Lewis-Gale located in Salem, VA. This position will provide sleep services on a full‑time basis from 8:00 PM‑6:00 AM. Competitive hourly rates are available, depending on experience and patient ratio.

MedBridge is a leading provider of sleep laboratory management services and sleep therapy. MedBridge partners with hospitals and physician practices to offer comprehensive fully‑integrated services for patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment and long‑term care management of patients with sleep disorders.

Responsibilities

Facilitating tests and collecting data

Preparing equipment, recording activities, and analyzing results

Following proper polysomnographic procedures including the use of electrodes, sensors, calibration of equipment, and fitting of airway pressure masks

Scoring clinical events, such as respiratory and cardiac episodes, and tabulating final data to be submitted for further review

Ensuring compliance with regulations and laws concerning safety control

Job Requirements

Must have a Virginia Department of Health Professions State License

Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program

Certified by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or certified as a Registered Respiratory Therapist

Vaccination and immunization records or titers may be required

Physical Demands of the Job

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and has specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, and the ability to focus.

The employee is required to use the hands to operate office equipment.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
