ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Mobile Maintenance Supervisor at Norton Gold Fields, you are responsible for the overall performance of both the Open Pit mining fleets, ensuring safety, availability and cost targets are met while maintaining the mobile asset integrity and reliability.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Manage contractor performance, including quarterly reviews, KPI monitoring, and cost control to ensure value for money and service quality.
Review, verify, and approve monthly contractor invoices, addressing any cost overruns, labour variances, or contractual discrepancies.
Monitor and manage contractor variations and non-MARC scope to ensure competitive pricing and cost efficiency.
Oversee cost allocation across Regional Maintenance and Light Vehicle teams, ensuring accurate charging and optimal repair decisions.
Monitor tyre performance and usage to maximise lifecycle value and ensure correct product selection.
Lead safety initiatives across mobile maintenance teams, including pre-starts, toolbox meetings, and visible safety leadership in the field.
Conduct site inspections, Safe Act Observations, and hazard identification across Open Pit, Regional, and Light Vehicle maintenance teams.
Drive a strong safety culture with a focus on achieving Zero LTI outcomes.
Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to support maintenance and operational requirements.
Monitor contractor-managed critical spares to ensure availability and minimise downtime risk.
Participate in operational and production meetings, contributing to planning and performance discussions.
ABOUT YOU
At least 3 years
in a Supervisor role within the mining industry or similar (Essential).
Trade qualified with AUR30999 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical or equivalent. (Essential)
Familiar with Open Pit mining equipment maintenance, heavy mobile and light vehicle fleets. (Essential).
Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class “C” Driver’s Licence (Essential).
Previous experience with CMMS, SAP, Pronto or similar software (Desirable).
Experience with contractual administration (Desirable).
