Short Description
Registered Nurses in the Center for Wound Healing provide coordinated wound care under the direction of Physicians and Podiatrists through approved evidence-based protocols. Modalities include advanced techniques such as wound debridement, special dressing, application of skin substitutes, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Assisting the provider in assessing, staging, and treating wounds.
Maintaining documentation in the medical record.
Supervision and support of hyperbaric oxygen treatments.
Assisting with scheduling patient appointments.
Assisting front desk staff with maintenance and ordering of supplies.
Collecting data for performance improvement initiatives.
Education Requirements
Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.
License/Certification Requirements
Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS CPR (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
Certification in Wound Care preferred.
