Our client, a well-established and growing plaintiff-side litigation firm in Birmingham, is seeking an experienced
Litigation Paralegal
to join their team. This firm is known for handling high-stakes, complex cases and offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment where paralegals play a critical role in case success.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate is a seasoned litigation paralegal who thrives in a high-performance environment and can manage cases with minimal oversight. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on meaningful, impactful cases from intake through trial.
Key Responsibilities
Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including pre-trial, discovery, trial, and post-trial
Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery materials
Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
Organize and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
Track deadlines and manage case calendarsCoordinate depositions, hearings, and court appearances
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel
Summarize depositions, medical records, and discovery responses
Assist with trial preparation and provide on-site trial support as needed
Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
Qualifications
5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably on the plaintiff side
Experience handling catastrophic personal injury cases strongly preferred
Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy
Must be able to work onsite full-time in the Birmingham office
