Job Overview
As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Frye Regional Medical Center, you will provide inpatient rehabilitation care, supporting community health and ensuring exceptional patient outcomes.

Essential Functions

Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.

Document patient care given.

Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide appropriate education considering age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.

How You Will Contribute

Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.

Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.

Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.

Perform timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.

Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.

Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.

What We Are Looking For

Current state RN license.

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.

One year of experience preferred.

Commitment to quality of care and patient safety, aligned with North Carolina State Board of Nursing and other regulatory standards.

The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for a given population based upon age‑specific and cultural needs. This is done in a collaborative multidisciplinary approach embracing quality and safety. The nurse ensures quality of care by measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital philosophies and standards of care set by North Carolina State Board of Nursing and other governing agency regulations. The nurse coordinates delivery of patient care for the Rehab Unit, facilitates problem solving with staff members and communicates necessary issues to nursing administration and the Program Manager.
